On the 22nd of June 2018, the Dutch Cycling Embassy had a visit from a delegation of journalists from local newspapers of the Kyungsang-Do Province, South Korea, to gather information about cycling in the Netherlands.
The purpose of the visit was to gather information in order to find ways to stimulate bicycle use in the rural and urban areas of the Kyungsang-Do Province.
Simone Emens and Nout Ramaekers made a brief presentation on the cycling scene in the Netherlands. After the presentation, questions were asked related to specific cycling issues that were of interest to the province. The discussed topics included parking systems in the Netherlands, popularity of cycling in the Netherlands, and about government and employer incentives on stimulating bicycle use.
The visit was concluded by a small tour through the YES!Delft building and the DCE office.
