Willem Smink

Consultant on Cycling / Stakeholdermanagement, Working at Royal HaskoningDHV

Willem is a result-oriented stakeholdermanager who is enthusiastic about cycling as a solution for many problems in dense urban areas. In his projects, Willem supports an integrated approach: Which interests, people and stakeholders should be involved, why should they be involved and in what way? Based on these type of questions Willem finds out which solution is the best fit to the stakeholders needs. In doing so, he is specialized in organizing creative, original workshops and other ways to involve different stakeholders to get projects implemented.

Willem has a theoretical base in Built Environment (Ing./BBE) and Spatial Planning (MSc). Currently, Willem works on the Cycle Track of the Future (region of Utrecht), Amsterdam Bike City (municipality and region of Amsterdam) and improving the accessibility of Utrecht Science Park by improving bicycle facilities.
